If I told you that there was something that you can do…

- Once a day..

- That is FREE..

- And only takes about 2 minutes..

- That is actually enjoyable to do..

- And it will have a more PROFOUND POSITIVE effect on your life than becoming a millionaire.

Would you do it???

Seems like a no brainer, right? Well, the studies are in… Practicing daily gratitude is the number #1 contributing factor to happiness. More than money. More than being married to Brad Pitt. (maybe) Why *wouldn’t* you do it???

This little video is an illustration of how to incorporate a little gratitude into your daily life.. Have a look! And get started today!

And one more thing. Part of the key to this, is to WRITE IT DOWN! Keep a daily Gratitude Journal and write 5 things that you are grateful for every day.

Here’s a blog entry that Lauren wrote with a link to an online Gratitude community.. so you can share your spirit of gratitude with others!

Expressing daily gratitude is by no means a new idea. People have been doing it for eons. However the way that people are now recording gratitude has changed.

We live in a society in which taking things for granted is a daily occurrence. Our hectic lives often stop us from slowing down to smell the proverbial flowers. It is this very problem that has added to high stress levels, depression and negative thinking. A simple way to combat this is through writing daily gratitudes. A simple practice that takes a few minutes a day but in return can provide some amazing results.

A private gratitude journal has been the traditional way of expressing daily thanks. In our current digital age this trend has changed dramatically. What once was a solitary act is now a group activity. More and more people are going online to outwardly give thanks to a common community.

Recently a challenge was issued through Facebook for people to make 30 consecutive days of gratitude posts. It has inspired thousands to take part.

In addition to social network challenges companies have found that daily gratitude has led to happier and more productive workplaces. A Malaysian digital publishing company, Mindvalley, went as far as to start their own site www.gratitudelog.com. They opened their site to vendor and client participation. The positive effects were amazing and produced actual measurable results for Mindvalley’s bottom line. This outcome was so impressive they have opened their site to the general public.

So with measurable results and studies that have shown that by writing down a daily gratitude for 30 consecutive days leads to a 25% increase in happiness. I offer the challenge to you to do the same and see what happens to your general outlook on life. See you online!

“As we express our gratitude, we must never forget that the highest appreciation is not to utter words but to live by them.”
~ John Fitzgerald Kennedy
